Sir Phillip was a castoff son of his house. Rather than be pledged to a lord, he was pledged in service to the Church instead. He was not well-accepted into the fraternity of knights, though, and was left to his own devices to hunt and find God in the wilderness as he wished. During one such excursion, he was set upon by a vast grey wolf which seemed near-impervious to his blows. He struggled well, though, and won the respect of the wolf, the Gangrel scout Damian. He ripped the young knight's throat out, but Embraced him swiftly. Damian then took him to see the Prince, who placed him in the coterie with Brock, Yos, and Bishop John. They went on to be succesful together, sharing adventures (and no few misadventures) with a cooperation rarely seen in mixed coteries.
Sir Phillip is a seemingly average man. He's a bit on the muscular side, but he blends in almost anywhere. This can serve him well, as he is often overlooked by enemies at their great cost. He seems to have a bit of a curse to him, as some of his failures seemingly turn disasterous, but he maintains an even keel and keeps his head about him even in emergencies.
Sir Phillip is a bit scarred for the many supernatural fights he's been in. Bite scars from a hell-hound, a regrown arm from a self-sacrificial magical explosion are all reminders to Phillip that he's survived what few else could.
