Vampire Through the Ages

A Tale Told Through the Ages
Vampire Through The Ages

February the Third, In the Year of Our Lord 2009

The players, some of whom had never played Vampire:the Masquerade before, were instructed to make characters as mortals first.  Each of them were given a fifteen-minute to a half-hour period detailing and role-playing their Embrace, the act of their Sire draining them of all their blood and returning a small amount of his own vampiric blood, transferring the Curse of Caine.  Details of the Embrace are listed in the characters' bios as necessary.

The players were not even allowed to choose their eventual Clan.  I (the StoryTeller) chose based on the personality of the character, background, and the direction the plot would eventually take them.  The players accepted in good grace, though latecomers to the group were allowed to choose their Clan with their character creation.  After recieving their Embrace, the players then finished their characters, with the full compliment of Backgrounds, new skills and upgraded Abilities, and Disciplines.

The party is acknowledged competent by Mithras (and the party grows to hate the Prince) for their success.  The staked Knight is handed to a favored childe of the Prince for diablerie, and the party is tasked with another special mission, to take down a bothersome preacher called Hector the Heretic.  The party's sole conflict in transit is against some unwise brigands, and the group learns just how superior they are to common mortals as immortal Kindred.
